Here, we are in the process of backfilling the 72" Metal Pipe on this particular system. We started by placing and compacting #57 clean stone underneath and half way up the sides of the pipe to serve as a cushioning agent and to prevent to pipe from "ovaling." After which, our crews worked hard to compact dirt around the rest of the areas in 1' lifts. Once we fill our way up to the top we will then be able to safely place some heavier compaction equipment on the system to speed up the process. The purpose of this system is to store rain water that we may encounter in the event of flash floods or some of the longer rain storms that occur in this area.
Progress Underway
After a rather mild winter here in the mountains, we are excited to be officially underway with the Erosion Control, Clearing, and Site Prep on this project here in Boone, NC. If the weather continues to cooperate we should be able to make some great progress in the coming weeks
Pre Construction Fly Over
We are proud to be a part of this Multi Family Housing Project in Boone NC. As you can see in the video it will be placed on a beautiful site with grand views of the High Country. All together their will be 9 buildings with nearly 300 units. As expected, the drainage systems and erosion control measures will need to be able to with withstand the flash floods that very often affect this area. At this point we are completing some light demolition of an existing structure, followed by the removal of all trees, stumps, and debris.
Medical Facility
Greer Brothers is proud to have been a part of this beautiful Medical Facility in Boone NC. The Re Enforced slope in the rear of the property was a wonderful design and creates a beautifully natural look, as well as maximizing the much needed parking areas.
Site Prep
Shortly after the clearing and disposal of all trees and stumps, the site prep begins. On this particular site in Boone NC we are finishing up the export of all excess fill dirt and the site is starting to take shape. Soon the footers excavation will begin
Clean up
Let the clean up begin. This site is located on Hwy. 105 in Boone NC. After the installation of all necessary erosion control, and demolition of 2 existing homes (not pictured) we will be disposing of all trees, brush, and stumps. Feel free to follow as we will be posting our progress as we move forward
Septic Install
Onsite Wastewater system installed at a residence in Watauga County, as designed by local Health Department. Installed with a 1500 gallon plastic septic tank, and 3 separate drain lines which consist of 3' Chambers. The blue material is an Interceptor Drain to prevent ground water from reaching Drain Field and is diverted around and out. We are Certified Onsite Wastewater Installers (#3821) and would be glad to discuss how we can help you on any of your site work.
